Import Haulage Geometry

Import Haulage Geometry from a File

  1. In the Setup Schedule > Material Flow > Haulage tab, select the Geometry tab.
  2. At the top of the Geometry data grid, click Insert.
  3. The Select Geometry Source form appears.

  4. Select the file that contains the haulage geometry that you want to import.
  5. Click Open.
  6. The Import Geometry form appears.

  7. In the Collection field:
    1. If you want to add the geometry to a new collection, select Create new.
    2. If you want to add the geometry to an existing collection, select the collection using the drop-down list.
  8. If you select Create new, the Name and Type fields are available. If you select an existing collection, the Name and Type fields are filled with the settings for the selected collection and are not available for editing.

  9. If you selected Create new:
    1. In the Name field, type a name for the collection.
    2. In the Type field, select Ramp or Bench.
  10. Click OK.
  11. The geometry file is imported and the segments of the file are listed in the Geometry data grid.

Import Haulage Geometry from a GEOVIA Surpac File

  1. In the Setup Schedule > Material Flow > Haulage tab, select the Geometry tab.
  2. At the top of the Geometry data grid, click Insert.
  3. The Select Geometry Source form appears.

  4. Select the file that contains the haulage geometry that you want to import.
  5. Click Open.
  6. The Import Geometry form appears.

  7. In the Import content box, select Geometry .
  8.  In the Collection field:
    1. If you want to add the geometry to a new collection, select Create new.
    2. If you want to add the geometry to an existing collection, select the collection using the drop-down list.
  9. If you select Create new, the Name and Type fields are available. If you select an existing collection, the Name and Type fields are filled with the settings for the selected collection and are not available for editing.

  10. If you selected Create new:
    1. In the Name field, type a name for the collection.
    2. In the Type field, select Ramp or Bench.
  11. Click OK.
  12. The geometry file is imported and the segments of the file are listed in the Geometry data grid.

Import Haulage Geometry from a GEOVIA GEMS Project

  1. In the Setup Schedule > Material Flow > Haulage tab, select the Geometry tab.
  2. At the top of the Geometry data grid, click Insert.
  3. The Select Geometry Source form appears.

  4. Select the project that contains the haulage geometry that you want to import.
  5. The Import Geometry form appears.

  6. Fill in the fields of the Haulage Geometry form.
    1. In the Collection field:
      1. If you want to add the geometry to a new collection, select Create new.
      2. If you want to add the geometry to an existing collection, select the collection using the drop-down list.

      If you select Create new, the Name and Type fields are available. If you select an existing collection, the Name and Type fields are filled with the settings for the selected collection and are not available for editing.

    2. If you selected Create new:
      1. In the Name field, type a name for the collection.
      2. In the Type field, select Ramp or Bench.
  7. Click OK.
  8. The Workspace Browser form appears.

  9. Select the workspace that contains the haulage geometry.
  10. Click Ok.
  11. The geometry is imported and the segments of the lines in the workspace are listed in the Geometry data grid.
